Christopher Contardo, PhD, ABPP-CN

Christopher Contardo, Ph.D., ABPP-CN, is board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He received an undergraduate degree in psychology from Eckerd College, and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The University of Connecticut.  Dr. Contardo completed his internship in clinical neuropsychology at the Medical University of South Carolina and was a postdoctoral fellow in neuropsychology and rehabilitation/polytrauma psychology at the Boston Veteran Affairs Medical Center, a program coordinated by Harvard Medical School and the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Contardo is a licensed psychologist in the states of Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana (HSPP) and an active member of the medical staff at Spectrum Lakeland Hospital. 

 

Dr. Contardo's brief career as a Division-II athlete prepared him for a life-long commitment to athletics and taking care of the well-being of athletes.  He has a unique, and personal, understanding of the psychological demands of athletics and the emotional impact of being an injured athlete at any age!  In his spare time, Dr. Contardo enjoys skiing, playing hockey, cycling, and trying to avoid his next injury!
